Amid a fanfare of cheers from the assembled crown, music, and its own siren, former Pincher Creek Ambulance 1099 arrived at its new home Pallmias, a town of 6000 people in Mexico. Palmias had no ambulance before, and has a small clinic and two major highways. Southern Alberta Rotary's Los Amigos 2014 project is delivering a total of six decommissioned vehicles (5 ambulances and a Handi-bus) to communities in need through Club Rotarios de Distrito 4150 in Mexico.

"Today we were able to donate Pincher Creeks ambulance 1099 to a community in need," said Pincher Creek Rotary President and Pincher Creek Emergency Services EMT and Fire Fighter Lynn Brasnett via Facebook. "It has been an incredible experience! I feel very proud to be a Rotarian and to be involved in a project like this!"

The two week (return) Los Amigos 2014 trip was undertaken from 7 participating Southern Alberta Rotary Clubs - Lethbridge Sunrise, Lethbridge, Lethbridge East, Fort MacLeod, Cardston, Pincher Creek and Calgary Fish Creek.
