Piikani Princess headdress missing

On Thursday, April 10, 2014, the Piikani Nation RCMP were called to a home on 15th Avenue in the town site of the Piikani Nation, Alberta. It was reported to police that the home owner and their children had left for work shortly before 8:00 am and had forgotten to lock their door. Shortly after 4:00 pm they returned and noticed their home had been entered. A small amount of loose change had been taken from a tin left on the table. Also stolen was a very unique head dress that belonged to their daughter. The head dress is an article belonging to their daughters regalia and represents the Piikani Jr. Princess.

Police are seeking the assistance of the public in solving this crime. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Piikani Nation RCMP or call Crime stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
