Pincher Creek's Initiation Chinooks hosted Kainai at the Memorial Community Centre Arena this morning, March 2, 2014.  It was the second game of the season for the Chinooks.

It was obvious Kainai has more games under their collective belts, and despite a small bench they won this game by a sizeable margin.  At this age level the score is not as important as the experience and the chance to demonstrate skills.  Both teams showed a lot of potential, and the Chinooks have definitely been working on their fundamentals this season, showing great improvement in stick handling and skating skills.  Kainai managed some great passing plays, and they skate very well.

Both teams showed a great deal of stamina, playing 3 long run-time periods in a row.

These two teams will meet again, many times, and it was a real pleasure to see them playing a clean and competitive game.
