On Monday, February 10, there was a single vehicle rollover 3 miles east of Pincher Station on Highway 3 at approximately 11:00 pm at night.  Pincher Creek Emergency Services responded with a rescue unit and an ambulance.  Three people were assessed and released on scene.  Emergency Services Chief Dave Cox said that icy road conditions were a factor in this incident.

Tuesday, February 11

At Pincher Station on Highway 3 Pincher Creek Emergency Services rescue and ambulance responded to a single vehicle incident at approximately 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 11.   One person was transported to hospital.

On Tuesday, February 11 at approximately 1:00 pm Pincher Creek ambulance, engine and tender and Beaver Mines engine responded to a garage fire in the Beaver Mines area.  This was called in by a neighbour to the property that saw smoke.  The garage was engulfed in flames and other nearby structures were at risk.  Although the fire crews could not save the garage, they managed to contain the fire to the building of origin.  No one was injured during the blaze, and a neighbour removed pets from danger.  According to Emergency Services Chief Dave Cox the fire does not appear to be of a suspicious origin.

Also on Tuesday, February 11 crews were called out to attend a tractor trailer fire at approximately 9 pm on Highway 22 roughly 5 miles north of the junction of Highway 3.  Pincher Creek responded with an Engine, a tender, and an ambulance.  Lundbreck Fire responded with an engine.  The crews separated the tractor from the trailer to minimize possible damage.  The trailer and contents were destroyed but there appeared to be no damage to the truck.  Highway 22 was shut down/detoured for approximately 2 hours and RCMP were on hand directing traffic.  It is believed that the fire started in the axles and braking area of the trailer.

Training occurred at the Pincher Creek Emergency Services building on Tuesday, February 11.  Nine ambulance staff members from the areas of Pincher Creek, Beaver Mines and Lundbreck were taking an all day competency program to increase their skills.

Wednesday, February 12

On Wednesday, February 12 Pincher Creek Emergency Services responded to an alarm that went off in an apartment building at approximately 4:30 am.  This turned out to be a false alarm due to dust from renovations.
