Pincher Creek Emergency Services responded to three calls from Thursday January 30 until the end of Friday January 31.
On Thursday January 30 there was a ceiling fire in a home close to Beaver Mines. According to Emergency Services Chief Dave Cox said it appeared to be an electrical fire that started from a light fixture. Pincher Creek Fire and Beaver Mines Fire responded.
The situation was quickly contained with no injuries and only minor damage to the home.
Beaver Mines Fire Department responded to a small fire at a Castle Mountain residential trailer on Friday afternoon, January 31. According to Chief Cox, the fire appears to have started from a small portable propane tank that was not fully turned off. The fire was contained by the residents of the home. Beaver Mines Fire responded and ensured that the fire was fully out.
Pincher Creek Emergency Services assisted area RCMP and Piikani Volunteer Fire Department at the scene of a motor vehicle collision on Highweay 3 east of the town of Brocket at approximately 7:30 pm on Friday, January 31. The incident involved two vehicles, one car and a pickup truck. One person had to be extricated from their vehicle and was transported to Pincher Creek Hospital with minor injuries. Traffic was reduced to one lane during the extrication process. Pincher Creek was on-scene for approximately two hours.
