PCES responds to Hwy 22 snowmobile fire

At approximately 9:00 pm Sunday evening February 16 Pincher Creek Emergency Services responded to an incident on Highway 22 north of Highway 3.  Two snowmobiles on a trailer were on fire.  Responding were units from Lundbreck Fire and Pincher Creek Fire.  When Emergency Services Chief Dave Cox arrived on scene he found that Lundbreck Fire "had the fire knocked down" so he ordered Pincher Creek Fire to stand down.

The two snowmobiles and the heated trailer they were in were both destroyed by the fire, but the truck hauling them was unscathed.  The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
