Missing ski-dooers found safe close to Sage Creek

Toni Lucas

Pincher Creek Search and Rescue and Pincher Creek RCMP were advised that two residents of the Pincher Creek area were overdue from a ski-doo trip in the Castle Mountain area on Monday, February 17.

Concerned family called at 8:30 pm to report that the two men had been expected back between 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm.  The vehicles that the men drove in with the ski-doos  were found at Beaver Mines Lake, and the men themselves were found safe and in good health at 1:00 am close to Sage Creek.  It is believed that the men became stuck in the back country. Pincher Creek Detachment Commander Sgt. Dixon of Pincher Creek RCMP said  "Thanks to Search and Rescue for the excellent job that they do."
