Pincher Creek's Canyon School handed out prizes related to their Math Olympics Fundraiser on Friday, February 14. The kids were given tickets for taking a math test on February 13, and students could earn more tickets by fundraising. The students have been getting pledges over the past few weeks as part of Canyon School Booster Club's main fundraiser for the year.

Photos of all the prizes were placed along one hallway with corresponding bags where students could choose how to distribute their tickets to be drawn for the many prizes that were donated to the school. In total the students raised $8,368.50. Over 90 prizes were given out in the gymnasium, including a Samsung Galaxy Tablet won by Kindergarten student Enzo Piccin, who was the top fundraiser of the entire school. Piccin raised more that $475.00. "It's as nice as my Dad's tablet" he said, hugging the box.
"This has been our best year yet," said organizer / Booster Society Secretary and Treasurer Lisa Dupuis.
"With over 90 prizes there are many, many happy students." Most of the kids were happy to have won, and were excited to show off their prizes.
