The Canyon School Booster Society will be having a Math Olympics as our main Fundraiser this year supporting the School’s 3 year focus on Math.
The Math Olympics will be held from Monday January 27, 2014 to Monday February 10, 2014.
Prizes will be given out February 14, 2014.
All students will receive their math facts on January 27, 2014, at least two weeks prior to the Math Olympics test for the students to take home and learn. At the same time they will be given a fundraiser form to ask siblings, parents, aunts, grandparents, etc. to pledge them.
Please help your child with the math facts as they will NOT be going over them at school. On the Math Olympics test writing day February 13, 2014 the teachers will give the Math Olympics test in the morning.
On Math Olympics Day everyone will receive a pencil for participating.
There will be many prizes. These prizes will be displayed in the Hallway by the office for the 2 week period for the students to view.
Once the tests are marked, the students will receive 1 ticket for participating as well as 1 ticket with their name on it for every $5.00 raised, and 5 extra tickets if they get 100% on the test. We also will be giving 3 bonus tickets for every $25.00 rose increasing the children’s chances of winning. (i.e. $100.00 rose = an additional 12 tickets for the drawing)
When the children get their tickets they will then have the opportunity to put them in the bag that is on front of the prizes they would like to win.
Bonus Prizes: Pizza Party, Juice and Treat to the classroom which raises the most money total.
Top raiser of pledges in the school automatically wins a SAMSUNG TABLET plus the chance to win another prize in the regular drawings
The Big Prize: Everyone who has a ticket can enter the drawing for a chance to win the FUN WINTER PACKAGE ($350.00 Alpenland Gift Certificate PLUS Cruising the Castle Pass)
