Athlete of the Day - Taite Jessen

Matthew Halton Hawks Junior B Boys basketball player Taite Jessen was an integral part in the team's win on Tuesday, January 28.

Showing remarkable maturity for his age, he has good speed, a strong dribble, and is always looking for who will have the best shot at scoring a basket.

Taite is currently in grade 7. He enjoys mountain biking, hockey, soccer, and football with his favorite class being gym class. He admitted that he has sometimes suffered injury with all the action that he enjoys.  "I've fractured my spine, and I've had 5 concussions," he said. Before he could explain more, he was photobombed and then off to his next task as a scorekeeper for the following game.
