Minor Hockey Equipment Manager Lindy Jessen had an unusual start to her day on Friday, November 8. Colby Ensign of Roof Armour Inc. in Fort Macleod approached the association with a donation of various sized hockey equipment including a goalie's hockey bag, chest protector, two sizes of goalie shin pads and various other items.
"It's not being used here anymore, my son outgrew it," said Colby's wife Rachael Ensign. According to Rachael her husband grew up in Pincher Creek and played minor hockey here in the 80's. "It is valuable, and someone should get some use out of it.
"We are very appreciative of donations," said Lindy Jessen. The donation of clean regulation gear helps the association outfit their various members and gives more kids the chance to play the sport.
