Toni Lucas, Pincher Creek Voice

On Thursday, November 14 at 7:18 in the evening Lundbreck Fire Department, Cowley Fire Department, and Pincher Creek Fire Department were alerted to a fire in the Village of Cowley by regional dispatch.

According to Cowley Fire Chief Jim Cisar, two Village of Cowley Fire trucks were dispatched to a home where a 14' x 20' foot shed was in flames.   Cowley Fire stopped the spread of the flames and asked Pincher Creek to stand down. The shed and all contents were destroyed, there was damage to surrounding trees, and it affected local power lines. Power was disrupted in the area for some citizens for approximately 45 minutes until Fortis replaced the lines.

This fire is currently under investigation and the cause is not yet determined.
