Matthew Halton School's Senior Hawks and the St. Michael's School's Senior Dragons both participated in the tournament.  After it was all over, the Hawks' volleyball season was over.  The Dragons will advance to Zones.

"Last night we played Kainai to five sets and we won," said Halton Coach Sylvia Perry.  "This morning, we played Claresholm and we lost all three sets.  It was single elimination, so we were done.  They worked really hard, and finished seventh overall in the league play.  I thought they did great."

"We played last night against Nanton, and we beat them, three straight,"  said St. Michael's Assistant Coach Lisa Holoboff.  "We played brilliant, awesome.  It was the best they've played all year.  This morning we played F.P.  Walshe.  The girls played well, but not as well as they played last night."

The Dragons did play well enough to earn a spot at Zones.

"We are off to Zones next weekend.  If the girls all show up to play, and play well, we could make it to Provincials," explained Holoboff.

Zones will be held in Milk River on November 15 and 16.  The Dragons will face teams from Foremost, Stirling, Gershaw, and Milk River, to name a few.  Two of the teams from Zones will earn the right to move on to Provincials in Edmonton.
