Experiential Learning Week begins Oct. 21 at Matthew Halton High School

This next week at Mathew Halton High School students from Grade 7 to 12 will participate in Experiential Learning Week.

Experiential Learning Week gives students a chance to step away from their normal classes and experience a different learning situation in which the students will have a chance to try new things that aren't regularly covered in school.


This is not just a week off school, students will also be marked on this class and a grade will be put on their report card.

These classes include Cosmetology, outdoor studies, mechanics, sports camp, creative baking, photography, film production and many other varieties. Many of these classes will be taught in different parts of the community, and some classes are even taught outside of the community to broaden the students' learning horizons and give a hands on experience to the skills that they are learning.
