Wayne Elliott previously sat on the Town of Pincher Creek Council for two consecutive terms between the years of 2004 and 2010.  "I have decided to take a run at becoming a Town Councillor once again," he announced recently.  "The three main focuses of a council are to perform good governance, provide a safe and viable community and to promote our community.  I believe I can provide that and will work hard to ensure that this council does that.  It always has been my belief that we need to look out for our seniors and look ahead for our youth."

Elliott has been a member of the Chinook Arch Regional Library Board, the Pincher Creek and District Municipal Library Board, Communities in Bloom, the Cemetery Committee, and Alberta Urban Municipalities Association, which included the Municipal Governance Committee, Audit and Finance Committee, and Building Communities Committee.

Nomination Day for Pincher Creek Town Council is Monday September 23 and Election Day is Monday October 21.
