Minor ice woes under control at arena

After a successful free skate last night at Pincher Creek's Memorial Community Centre Arena, flaws in the ice have made themselves evident. This year in the arena staff are using a new type of logo for centre ice.  Not realizing it until they put the ice in, the new logos do not absorb water as expected. They will not freeze into the ice, thus making air pockets and creating cracks in the ice. To fix this arena staff have been melting them out and altering them so they will absorb water.

Don’t worry hockey players, free-skaters and fans, the ice will be for the hockey camp this weekend.
