Mustangs hope to be big winners in this challenge |
(Advertorial)
Drinking milk is healthy for you, and it might also make for a healthier bottom line for the local Mustangs football teams or a local milk drinker because of a contest put together by Dairyland and Co-op. From September 27 to October 24 every Dairyland 4 litre jug of white milk sold at Co-op stores across Canada earns the opportunity for the people that purchase the milk a chance to win $5,000 that can be entered for online. In addition it gives one lucky Co-op the chance to win $5,000 for a local charity of their choice.
The Mustangs Football Booster Association were chosen to be the recipients if the Pincher Creek Co-op wins one of the $5,000 prizes. "This is a great opportunity of potential investment into our program," said Bantam Football Coach Travis Liscombe, who acknowledged the show of support for all levels of the Mustangs.

Growth needs good nutrition |
"This year we've had to buy all new shoulder pads, at an average cost of $150.00 to $200.00 Whenever we have to buy a new helmet, it's another $200.00 to $300.00 That's just in equipment." said Liscombe. "We get great community support, and Co-op has been so good to us, with so much support of our program. The opportunity to be involved with this milk promotion is huge, and we really appreciate it."
