High streamflow advisory issued for Castle River, Crowsnest River, Pincher Creek, and Drywood Creek

The Government of Alberta has issued a high streamflow advisory  for the Castle River, Crowsnest River, Pincher Creek and Drywood Creek.

Since Thursday afternoon between 50 to 90 mm of precipitation has fallen in the area between the Crowsnest Pass and Beauvais Lake Provincial Park.  An additional 15 to 25 mm of rain is possible by Saturday morning.

At this point no major flooding is expected, although  minor flooding is possible.  Anyone that is situated close to any of these rivers are advised to take appropriate precautionary measures.
