In Memoriam: Robert (Bob) Coulson Jenkins

Robert (Bob) Coulson Jenkins
Robert (Bob) Coulson Jenkins, passed away in Pincher Creek, Alberta on July 19th 2013.  Born on July 14th 1938 to Walt and Gee Jenkins,  Bob spent his life ranching on the land he loved near Waterton Park.    Predeceased by siblings Mic Johnson (nee Jenkins) and Joe Jenkins;   Bob is survived by his daughter Jennifer and her partner Jeff Henderson, his brother Tom (Frances) Jenkins, many special nieces & nephews, along with numerous lifetime friends including The Cassidy’s who became his extended family.

Over the years Bob’s love of cattle would take him to many purebred cattle events and sales, where he made great friendships which would last his lifetime.    His appreciation for the land, and desire to preserve Southwest Alberta’s ranch lands took his life in a new direction as he served two terms on the Pincher Creek and District Municipal Council.

No matter where he was, or what he was doing it can be said that Bob always made an impression.  Bob will be remembered for being a great story teller, a patient teacher and true cattlemen.

The family invites you to bring your own stories to share as we celebrate Bob’s life at 4pm, Friday, July 26th at the Twin Butte Community Hall.  Written stories and favorite memories are very much welcomed to be brought to the service or shared online at www.snodgrassfuneralhomes.com

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob’s memory to at Jack Ady Cancer Centre  960 – 19 Street South,  Lethbridge,  Alberta T1J 1W5

  1. Sad news. Served with Bob when I was on council some years back, and found him to be a fine gentleman. He will be missed by many I'm sure.
