Matthew Halton High School presents their 2013 Blue and White Athletics Awards

Matthew Halton High School in Pincher Creek held their 14th Annual Blue and White Athletics Awards Ceremony in the school gymnasium on the morning of Friday June 14,  2013.

Principal Sandy McDuffe

Principal Sandy McDuffe addressed the students and Athletic Director Randy Whitehead acted as the Master of Ceremonies.  Alyssa Barbero gave a beautiful rendition of 'O Canada', and Chris Dupuis assisted with the proceedings.   Matthew Halton High School presents their awards with the presenter requesting that the whole team come to the stage, and then the awards are given out within that group.  It acts as a reminder to everyone that those that won the award are part of a greater team.

The first awards presented were introduced by Mrs. Robinson, and presented by Pincher Creek Royal Canadian Legion #43 President Dick Waywood and Service Officer Hal Sigurdson.  These awards were for the Legion's Annual Literary and Poster Contest.  For that story click here.

Then the school recognized the many sporting achievements of the students, reminding us just how much that the students of Matthew Halton make up the fabric of sports throughout Pincher Creek.
