Pincher Creek's Majors Dust Devils faced Crowsnest Pass (CNP) at Lions Park Baseball Diamond on Wednesday, June 5. These two teams were a bit unevenly matched, with CNP coming out on top during the game. Pincher did hit and run, but CNP traveled the bases more. Wes, Michael and Andrew pitched for Pincher Creek during the game. Spencer, Will, Colby, Jace and Ethan threw for CNP.
It can be a growing experience to face a team that is showing itself to be strong in the fundamentals, and I could see young Pincher minds watching, calculating, and learning during the game. The seemed to be using the experience as a chance to improve their personal abilities while getting ready for the upcoming rounds of tournaments that they will be facing.
The final score was 12-28 for CNP.
Coach Jeff Kaupp was appreciative of his players' efforts. "It was a good game, with good hitting. Crowsnest is tough team."
The Majors Dust Devils are scheduled go to Claresholm for a tournament on June 8-9.
