St. Michael's drama production cancelled

Chris Davis, Pincher Creek Voice

  • Update: The Tuesday June 4 and Wednesday June 5 St. Michael's School Drama Club presentation has been cancelled.

St. Michael's School Drama Club is in their final few days of rehearsals before their production of 'Abandon All Hope, Ye Who Enter Here:  The Story of a Prom'.

I observed a rehearsal of the play earlier this week but didn't stay to the very end, therefore I came away with a few basic questions still unanswered (spoilers below):

  • Is Al Gore really an internet smut peddlar?
  • Can Principal Kuchison and Vice Principal Delinte act?
  • Will nerdy Drooler go to the prom with the popular basketball star?
  • What's "the coleslaw incident" all about?
  • Do proms inevitably lead to bankruptcy, unplanned pregnancy, and crushed dreams?
  • Will Iris Wang ever wake up?

Thespians don't nap like regular people
Find out on Tuesday June 4 and/or Wednesday June 5, starting at 7:00 pm both evenings, when the play will be presented to the public in the St. Michael's Drama Room.  Tickets are $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for students and are available at St. Michael's School Office (403-627-3488).
