Introducing the Border A's little league baseball team

2013 ABC Border A's

The ABC Border A's formed for a very brief season in association with the Chinook West Little League and included athletes from from Pincher Creek and Crowsnest Pass and from Elkford and Fernie in BC.  The coaching and management staff were from Pincher Creek.


The team played 4 games over the course of  this weekend, losing all 4.  "We definitely had a hard time at bat!" said Manager Carrah Walter.  She said despite the losses it was a good experience.  "We had a great weekend. It was a awesome how they came together as a team. They should all be proud! They had some great moments! I was very proud how they never let errors get them down. It was a wonderful learning experience!"


The weekend was an "experiment" according to Walter. "We just wanted to try it out and see how it would work, because it is new to Little League Canada. Lethbridge will continue playing but we just played for the weekend." 

The Border A's athletes now begin playing in their regular season house leagues.

Upcoming local home baseball games:

• The PC Juniors first home game will be on May 21 vs Sparwood beginning at 6:00 pm at Sproule Field in Pincher Creek.
• The PC Minors will have their first regular season home game at 6:30 pm on Monday, May 13 at the Juan Teran diamond in Pincher Creek vs Claresholm.
