The Senior Varsity teams took to the field first.  The game was fast paced, with two very adversarial teams facing each other.  The excitement grew throughout the game, with the Hawks tying up the score in the last four minutes of the game.  Both teams poured it on for the last few minutes seeking an advantage to no avail, the game finishing tied 22-22.

The Junior Varsity teams took to the pitch with all the determination of the Senior teams.  Maia Jorgensen had an outstanding play during the game when she gained possession of the ball and made a fleet and triumphant run that left all members of both teams further and further behind with each step.

The JV Hawks won the game decisively by a 37 - 12 margin.

"We made some costly mistakes that cost us a win in that game," said Hawks Coach Randy Whitehead referring to the tied Senior game. "From the last week, even the last game, things we've been working on are improving, and that's what we want to see, improvement each game, so we are playing our best rugby."

"They just have to go out and enjoy the game," Whitehead said about both JV and SR Hawks.

The Hawks teams host their Catholic Central (Lethbridge) counterparts at Sproule field in Pincher Creek this evening, Tuesday May 7, starting at  5 pm.
