Toy rifle results in Canyon School lockdown

Canyon Elementary School in Pincher Creek went into lockdown on Monday, April 22, 2013 at approximately 3:20 pm when three children were seen walking across the playground, one carrying what appeared to be rifle.

RCMP responded with 5 cars within minutes of the call.  Officers saw the boys climbing the hill to the east of the school, and upon investigating  discovered that the weapon in question was a toy rifle the boys were playing with.
