Town of Pincher Creek looking for MDSA Committee members

Council for the Town of Pincher Creek depends on volunteers for the successful operation of its Boards and Committees, and is currently seeking public member applicants for:

MDSA (Municipal Development & Subdivision Authority) Committee

Total Committee Composition: 5
Current Opportunities: 2
Term: 2 -3 years
Meetings: 8:00 am,  3rd Tuesday monthly as required
Mandate: To make decisions on development permits and subdivision applications.


MDSA eligibility requirements for Council appointment are:

  1. Must be 18 years of age or over
  2. A Canadian Citizen or Landed Immigrant
  3. Town of Pincher Creek residence for the past six (6) consecutive months and during the appointment term
  4. Attendance at mandatory annual training day
  5. Meeting Remuneration (Regulatory Authority) Per Bylaw 1578-10 

Applications for Citizen Appointment to Boards and Committees, MDSA Bylaw 1543-12 and Council Remuneration Bylaw 1578-10 may found at www.pinchercreek.ca or picked up at the Town Office between 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday on regular work days. Questions may be referred to the Town Office 403-627-3156.

Please submit your application to Town of Pincher Creek, Box 159, Pincher Creek, Alberta or drop it off at the Town Office, 962 St. John Avenue before 4:00 p.m. April 5, 2013.
