Frank Deter gets a scooter courtesy of Angels Within Us

Angels Within Us representatives Michelle Duncan and Sherry Mackenzie along with Ultimate Freedom's Gary Olson were happy to present Pincher Creek's Frank Deter with a shiny new Comet Scooter, a machine sure to create a great deal of envy in the scooter set.


This thing is slick.  It's got a weight capacity of up to 486 lbs. The 26" wide seat is a marvel of modern engineering, sturdy and easy to adjust.  It even turns sideways for easy entrances and exits.

The real kicker of the Comet is the zippy 650 watt 4-pole propulsion system.  It's nimble, and can be set to automatically slow on turning. which it does to a 64" radius.  13" tires and a 5" ground clearance make it usable in all but the worst of Pincher Creek conditions.

It's also got an Intelligent Lighting System, with automatically cancelling turn signal and big brake warning lights.

Gary of Ultimate Freedom, the distributor, also donated a cover for the vehicle.

“Angels Within Us” was started by a small group of friends and initially was to help one of the founders recover some of the costs that she incurred from a surgical procedure that was not available in Canada.
