District 4-H Speeches held at Foothills Church March 8

Pictured above are the top two presenters from each of the five local 4-H clubs who competed at the District 4-H Presentations held at the Foothills Church on March 7.

The winners of the Pincher Creek 4-H District Presentations were as follows.


Juniors : Brooke Hammond ( Silver Reins), Sommer Hagley and Haylee Williams (Silver Reins) alternate Taylor Deley and Sarah Kirby ( Chinook Multi). Intermediates:  Tom Welsch ( Foothills Beef), Bruce Kirby and Ryan Higginbotham (Chinook Multi) alternate Kassi Wells and Samantha Williams ( Silver Reins ).

Seniors: Taylor Wells and Megan McGlynn ( Silver Reins), Kelsie Simpson and Rebecca Taylor ( Silver Reins), Alternate Abby and Brittany Zur ( Timber Trails).
 
On March 8 the top two speakers from each of the local clubs were eligible to compete at the District 4-H Public speech competition.  Winners of the District Speech competition were as follows.

Juniors:  Lewis Anderson (Rocky Mountain Swine) and Ellie-Kate Stauffer (Foothills Beef) alternate Justin Schoening (Foothills Beef).

Intermediates :  Alexandra Russell (Silver Reins) and Merrick Stauffer (Foothills Beef) Alternate Deloy MacKenzie (Foothills Beef).

Seniors:  Laura Welsch (Foothills Beef) and Tanis Bruder (Foothills Beef).

Each of these winners or their alternate are now eligible to compete at the Lethbridge College in the South Regional 4-H Communications Competition (speeches and presentations) to be held on Saturday March 23 starting at noon.  The public is welcome to attend this event as well and hear the best 4-H public speakers in southern Alberta !
