An exciting addition to this year’s events is the Art Escape workshop hosted by Dr. Anne McLelland of the Waterton Natural History Association. Participants who would like to try their hand at exploring the landscape of Waterton through drawing should pre-register at 403-859-5133.
On Saturday and Sunday, warm drinks will be served at the Little Prairie picnic shelter on the Akamina Parkway before visitors hit the trails. They can bring their own gear or rent skis and snowshoes from the Waterton Lakes Lodge Resort or Waterton Glacier Suites.
WinterFest is organized by Parks Canada, the Waterton Chamber of Commerce and the Waterton Natural History Association.
