Vehicle and train collide in Fort Macleod
Today, February 2, 2013, the Fort Macleod RCMP received a complaint that a motor vehicle had been in a collision with a train at the train crossing near Highway #3 and 18th street in Fort Macleod. The driver in the vehicle sustained minor injuries and the passenger sustained no injuries. Both were taken to the hospital. Due to the accident the train crossing was temporarily closed.
The Fort Macleod RCMP would like to remind everyone to be extra cautious around train crossings and do not rely on the vehicle in front of you to look for trains.
There have been several similar incidents in Alberta during the last week.
