Fatal single motor vehicle collision near Fort Macleod

On February 19th, 2013 at approximately 9:10 am a Silver 2000 Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV was involved in a fatal motor vehicle collision along Hwy 811 north of Fort Macleod. The vehicle was traveling south along the secondary highway when it left the right side of the road and rolled several times. A 22 year old female driver was the lone occupant of the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene. It is not known what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway however alcohol was not a factor in this collision.

The Fort Macleod RCMP continue to investigate this matter in conjunction with the Calgary Medical Examiner's office.
