Community Foundation accepting grant applications
Spring 2013 Community Impact Grant Applications Being Accepted until February 15
The Community Foundation of Lethbridge and Southwestern Alberta is now accepting grant applications for the Spring 2013 Community Impact Grants period. The application period will remain open until Friday, February 15 at 4:00 pm.
Organizations must be registered with the Canada Revenue Agency, or be in association with a municipality. Grant applications, as well as more information on eligibility and funding criteria, can be found on the Community Foundation website (www.cflsa.ca). The Community Foundation staff is also available to assist organizations with their grant applications at 403-328-5297.
With two granting cycles per year, the Community Foundation focuses on awarding grants in three key areas: Basic Needs, Community Vitality, and Healthy Living. In 2012, 43 Community Impact Grants totalling $215,000 were awarded to deserving organizations in southwestern Alberta (our territory stretches from the U.S. border north to Nanton and from the B.C. border east to Grassy Lake).
The funding for the Community Impact Grants is generated from the investment income of permanent endowments established by generous donors.
“It is always exciting to see the impact our granting program has on organizations in southwestern Alberta,” says Dianne King, Foundation President. “I encourage your organization to share your dreams with us in this application period.”
The Community Foundation of Lethbridge and Southwestern Alberta is a public foundation that helps donors connect their generosity with community needs, now and forever. We’ve been doing this since the Foundation was formed on April 18, 1966 and have contributed over $6 million to a wide variety of charitable organizations in southwestern Alberta.
