Christmas is a time for giving, and for 22 years Pincher Creek and area residents have generously  supported local health care services through the Trees of Hope.  The 2012 campaign received a jump start gift of $1,120 from Tim Horton's in Pincher Creek, the proceeds from their annual Smile Cookie promotion.  Donations were being dropped off at Pincher Creek Health Centre even before flyers were mailed to Pincher Creek and area residents, including a $2,000 gift from Pat Dwyer Construction.

"It's great to see the community once again so willing to get behind the Trees of Hope," said Donna Schauerte, Windy Slopes Health Foundation Chair. "All proceeds this year are being directed to the Emergency Department at Pincher Creek Health Centre."

A brand new impressive display is helping to remind people it's the season to make their donations.  Myrl Boese and his staff at Boulder Industries designed and created the metal Christmas trees and archway that will be lit up on the grounds of Pincher Creek Health Centre throughout the holiday season.

"We're really excited at how great the display turned out," Schauerte  said.  "So many volunteer hours went into crafting it, our thanks go out to everyone at Boulder Industries. Their hard work has definitely paid off."

The Trees of Hope campaign gives donors the opportunity to make a gift to Windy Slopes Health Foundation in memory of a loved one, or as a holiday greeting to friends and family. Greetings are placed on special decorations that are hung on the tree in the foyer at Pincher Creek Health Centre.

Donations can be mailed using the form on the Trees of Hope flyer, or dropped off in person at Pincher Creek Health Centre.
