Cowgirl Abby Zur is a Grade 10 student at Livingstone School in Lundbreck, and lives in the Willow Valley area.
She was the Season Leader and placed second in Junior Barrels at the Chinook Rodeo Association Finals held in Picture Butte on October 19-21. She won the High Point Youth in the Southwest Barrel Series Jackpot Finals held here in Pincher Creek last August. She participated in the 2012 All-Girl Rodeo in July, also held at the Pincher Creek Agricultural Grounds, and in the second day of competition there she place second in Junior Barrel Racing and third in Junior Pole Bending.
Abby is also a member of the Timber Trails 4-H Beef Club, and had the Reserve Champion 3 year old cow/calf and second place Market Steer in her age category at their annual Market Steer and Female Project Achievement Day held in May of this year.
