Missing Elk Valley boy found

The Amber Alert for 3 year old Alvin Barnett has now been cancelled.  He has been located in Montana and is reported to be safe.  A suspect is reported to be in custody.

In support of the AMBER Alert issued in British Columbia, and at the request of the Elk Valley RCMP, the information issued on November 15 is as follows: Elk Valley RCMP have issued an AMBER Alert, for the abduction of Alvin BARNETT, age 3, who was taken from the Fernie, BC area in the afternoon of November 15. Alvin is age 3, white male child, 3 ft 2 in. tall, and was wearing a red shirt, and blue jeans. Alvin was abducted by his father Robert BARNETT, age 39, described as being 5 ft 5 in. tall, green eyes, reddish blonde hair, possibly some facial hair, and a scar above his right eyebrow. They are believed to be in a Blue 2002 Subaru Outback BC plate 347SBL.


The Police are concerned for the well being of Alvin and Robert.



Robert BARNETT was last seen wearing a dark sweater, blue jeans, and runners.  Although it is believed that Alvin and Robert may have entered the United States their current location is not known
