Hundreds of jobs available at the Pincher Creek oil and gas job fair

More than 650 positions are waiting to be filled at the Pincher Creek oil and gas job fair being held on Friday, September 21 from 10 am to 8 pm and Saturday, September 22 from 10 am to 4 pm.

Job seekers are encouraged to bring their resumes and meet face-to-face with employers from Northern Alberta including Shell Canada, SMS Equipment, URS Flint, MEG Energy and more!  Event will be held at the Pincher Creek Heritage Inn Hotel and Convention Centre at 919 Waterton Avenue.

Job and career seekers are also encouraged to attend a “Working in Northern Alberta” information session from 1 to 3:30 pm to learn more about the skills in demand and opportunities to work in the North.  Find out how some employers are accommodating out-of-town workers to join their workforce without relocating.

Event organizers, Town of Pincher Creek, MD of Pincher Creek, Piikani Nation, Lethbridge College and the Alberta Works Centre are pleased to provide this first-of-its-kind event for area residents.

The Town of Pincher Creek will also be meeting with oil and gas job fair company officials to promote the area’s municipal airport as a possible option to charter workers from the area. With the third longest airstrip in Alberta, the towns’ family-oriented amenities, and distinction as the service centre of southwestern Alberta, Pincher Creek is well positioned for direct, expedient air transportation for northern workers and preserving home community and family connectedness.
