Garry Marchuk and Jacques Thouin to contend for vacant MD Council chair

MD of Pincher Creek No. 9 Division 3 residents will be going to the polls for a by election to replace Rod Zielinski, who resigned late July.  Beaver Mines residents Garry Marchuk and Jacques Thouin have signaled their intent to run for the position.

The by election will be held Monday, October 10 from 10:00 am and 8:00 pm at Coalfield School, east of Beaver Mines on Highway 507.  Advanced polling will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 between 10:00 am and 7:00 pm at the Municipal District Administration Building, which is located at 753 Kettles Street, Pincher Creek.

CAO Wendy Kay has been appointed as Returning Officer and Development Officer Assistant Tara Cryderman has been appointed as Deputy Returning Officer.
