Fort Macleod RCMP investigating vandalism and theft

On September 17, 2012, the Fort Macleod RCMP received a complaint that sometime between September 10 and September 17 a storage building belonging to a local club had been broken into. The building is located at the corner of 2nd Avenue and 21st Street in Fort Macleod. Suspect(s) gained entry into the building and rifled through its contents.

On the same day RCMP also responded to a smash and grab on Main Street in Fort Macleod. In the early morning hours of September 17th a business located in the 300 block had a front window smashed. Suspect(s) grabbed several hockey jerseys and a horse saddle before fleeing. The horse saddle was recovered a short distance from the business.

Between the night of September 15 and the morning of September 16, a residence in the 200 block of 17th Street had a bicycle stolen. The bicycle was located in the fenced back yard of the residence. Bicycle is described as a blue Brody Brat mens mountain bike with a black line pinstripe pattern on the crossbar.

The RCMP are investigating these incidents and are seeking public assistance in identifying any suspects. Anyone that may have witnessed these incidents or who has any information to provide are asked to contact the Fort Macleod RCMP at 403 553-7200 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
