Introducing new PCHS Coordinator Jessica Gascoyne

The Pincher Creek Humane Society (PCHS) welcomed new Coordinator Jessica Gascoyne this week.  Gascoyne seemed thrilled to be settling into her new position.  "I love animals a lot," she said.  "This is my dream job for the Pincher Creek area."

Gascoyne brings experience to the job, having volunteered at the Humane Society in the past. "I thought the opportunity to actually work here would be perfect."  Summer student Ashley Duffield has been helping her learn her duties, which include cleaning cages, looking after the animals, coordinating volunteer activities, schedules, time sheets, and other aspects of the day to day operations of the facility.

Note: all three dogs pictured above are looking for their forever homes.  Marley is a 2 1/2 year old neutered male Jack Russell terrier. He is a bundle of fun and energy. Marley gets along with other dogs and has no interest in cats. He walks well on a leash and enjoys the trips around the neighborhood.  Jade and Ashes are 1 year old sisters. They both love going for walks and are great on the leash.

Humane Society benefits from Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament

The Humane Society recently received a cheque for $500 from the Pincher Creek and District Chamber of Commerce, from proceeds raised at the Chamber's second annual Charity Golf Tournament, which was held June 24.  The money will go towards the PCHS building fund.
