Vehicular Mischief and Theft in Fort Macleod
Between the evening of July 18, 2012 at 6 P.M. and the early morning of July 19, 2012 at 6:30 A.M. a mischief under $5000 and a theft from vehicle under $5000 occurred to a motor vehicle. The occurrence took place on 20 Street in the 500 block of Fort Macleod, Alberta. The owner of the vehicle advised that there was a forced entry into the vehicle and damage in the amount of $300 was done to the vehicle. Once inside thieve(s) made off with $200 worth of personal property. The vehicle that was damaged was a Black Chevrolet pick up truck. The damage to the vehicle would have been quite loud and would likely have attracted a lot of attention.
The Fort Macleod RCMP would like to remind everyone to lock your vehicles and put items of value out of sight when they are in your vehicle. If you are parking your vehicle in locations that you are unfamiliar with, park your vehicle in a well lit area that is not isolated from public view.
