One Year Anniversary, Sunday July 15, 2012
A birthday or anniversary is a time to celebrate accomplishments over a period of time, arbitrarily set by each individual or organization.
Why do we celebrate?
There are many reasons to celebrate, as there are people on this wonderful planet, we call earth.
For example, we celebrate the birth of a child, the start of a new business, relationships, and all forms of accomplishments, from potty training to obtaining a drivers license.
Another celebration that we one day hope to achieve, is total Peace & Harmony, in a world of differences, where we will all see the big picture together; a world of understanding and acceptance!
A picture, where all are able to live and breathe the air freely, without fear or trepidation.
Where all are fed, housed and clothed equally!
Where all are able to walk the pathways and streets of this fair world, in a joyous celebration of freedoms and liberties, that countries like Canada currently enjoy!
We live in a great country on a wonderful world, where we are able to celebrate every day of our lives, the wonderful gift of life!
There is a celebration of significant importance currently taking place in the history of Pincher Creek and area.
Where all are able to participate, even the online community of our internet based world! Instead of whispering softly, this celebration needs to be voiced loudly, from all rooftops, with dancing in the streets and cake in our stomachs; the anniversary of a new voice in our local and world community: The Pincher Creek Voice, a publication that is allowing all people’s voices to be heard.
Congratulations to intrepid editor Chris Davis, all the staff, and contributors (from advertisers to volunteers) that have helped The Pincher Creek Voice arrive at this wonderful point in history!
May there be many more celebrations to achieve, as time passes swiftly on our faster spinning planet, where news and information, is able to reach the other side of the world, in a split second, at the click of a mouse.
