Fort Macleod theft from motor vehicle

Fort Macleod RCMP were dispatched to a theft of personal items from a motor vehicle at the Fort Macleod Swimming Pool, which is located on 21 Street and 2 Avenue in Fort Macleod, Alberta. The owner advised that there was no forced entry into the vehicle and thieve(s) made off with approximately $250 dollars worth of personal belongings. The theft occurred between the time frame of 3:30 P.M. and 4:30 P.M. The vehicle that was gone through was a Black 1997 SUV GMC Jimmy.

The Fort Macleod RCMP would like to remind everyone to lock your vehicles and put items of value out of sight when they are in your vehicle. Failure to do this may make your vehicle a target for would be thieves that are looking to quickly grab valuable items. The Fort Macleod RCMP would also like to inform any patrons that attend the Fort Macleod Swimming Pool not to bring in any valuable personal items into the locker rooms. The staff cannot continuously monitor these areas and if you choose to bring these items into these areas it is at your own risk.
