Phil Lethbridge and the Westwinds had folks dancing into the wee hours on Friday night, June 15 at the Pincher Creek Community Hall. They closed out the evening's entertainment courtesy of the 2012 Gathering Committee. With a vast and eclectic collection of western-themed songs under their collective belt, Lethbridge leads the group on fiddle, guitar, and vocals with a seemingly effortless delivery.
Phil has been entertaining audiences in the Pincher Creek area since about 1967.
Fellow multi-instrumentalist Jackie Therriault maintains a constant and delicate touch on the keys beside him, as she has done for many years, and his son Victor keeps impeccable time on the drums.
Victor is also the soundman extraordinaire for the Gathering events held in the Community Hall.
At recent shows, including this one, Rene Desjardins from Cowley filled in admirably for Jackie Lethbridge on bass guitar and harmony vocals.
