Martyna's lively fiddle delights Gathering crowds

Local cowgirl fiddler Martyna Lively, 10, wowed the crowds at Pincher Creek's 25th Cowboy Poetry Gathering with her fiddle program.  Lively showed remarkable poise for one so young. She rose to the occasion with aplomb and determination.  Starting out solid but a teensy bit flustered, by the end of the event she was on fire.  She went from 'nice young lady with a talent' to 'hmm, that one's the real deal" fast.  Lively also entertained Canyon School students on Friday afternoon, June 15 as a Gathering ambassador.

Lively has many interests, all of which she seems to pursue with infectious enthusiasm.  Once minute she's a cowgirl in the rodeo, another she's a fiddler on the stage, she's quite good at public speaking, and she shows much promise in other fields.
