Local youth charged with arson

A Pincher Creek man will be looking for a new place to live after a fire broke out on the third story of a local apartment complex  In the early morning hours of Saturday June 9 the Pincher Creek Fire Department was called to the Mountain Vista Apartment complex, previously known as the Shell Apartment Complex. after a fire alarm was received by the 911 service. Pincher Creek Fire contained the scene and RCMP were subsequently called in to investigate the suspicious nature of the fire. Damages were contained to a single rental unit.  

RCMP arrested one male youth and one adult on scene for offences under the Gaming and Liquor act; a second youth was located at the Pincher Creek hospital being treated for burns and was arrested and charged with arson. The youth will make his first appearance on the charge in July in Pincher Creek Court.
