Pincher Creek U-16 Soccer Team

Pincher Creek's U-16 soccer team was practicing in the brittle cold of Tuesday evening, May 1.  They are scheduled to play their first game of the season, against Sparwood, on Thursday evening, May 3 at the Matthew Halton School field.  Kickoff is at 7:00 pm.

Pincher Creek is part of the Rocky Mountain Soccer Association, and competes against 4 other teams, including Fort Macleod, Sparwood, Elkford, and the Crowsnest Pass. Games consist of two 40 minute halves, and the rules call for 3 girls to be on for each team at all times.

Coaching for the Pincher Creek U-16's this year are James Freeman, Yves Van Huffel, and Brent and Sally Woodard.

Pincher Creek U-16 Soccer Schedule (all regular-season games are on Thursdays, kickoff at 7 pm):

• May  3  - Sparwood at Pincher Creek
• May 10  - Pincher Creek at Fort Macleod
• May 17  - Crowsnest Pass at Pincher Creek
• May 24  - Pincher Creek at Elkford
• June 7  - Pincher Creek at Sparwood
• June 14 - Fort Macleod at Pincher Creek
• June 21 - Pincher Creek at Crowsnest Pass

The year-end tournament will be played on Saturday, June 23 in Pincher Creek.
