The Pincher Creek Hawks  baseball team hosted the County Central  High School Vulcan Hawks at the Sproule field on Monday evening, May 7.

The skies were mostly clear, the wind was brisk, the grass was fresh from recent rains, and spirits were high both on the field and in the stands.

It was a classic game played between two strong teams.  Neither side really got a major advantage over the other, although Vulcan had some rock solid patter.

In the bottom of the 9th the score stood tied at 12-12, with Pincher Creek at bat.  A daring steal home later, and it was 13-12 Pincher Creek for the game.  Roll tape:
