A rosy future at Lebel Mansion

Toni Lucas, Pincher Creek Voice

Oldman River Rose Society members Jan Frith, Donna and Jim Cisar, Shelley Maloff, Adriana Hoekstra, Larry Taylor, Marge Shenton, and Kay and Campbell Weir were all working hard on Saturday to create an additional ring to the rose garden located in the east yard of Lebel Mansion.

Planning for this garden started in 2009, and the original center garden was installed in November of 2009.  "This is the final phase of this part," commented project co-ordinator Jan Frith.  "I am so excited to be getting to this phase." Frith further explained that this is not the last of the architectural changes, as future plans include putting in a sidewalk and an arbour for climbing roses and finials.
