ASIRT seeks assistance from public

Investigators with the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) would like to speak with anyone who was travelling on Whitemud Drive in Edmonton near 159 Street at approximately 8 a.m.on Wednesday April 11.

Investigators are looking for information from anyone who witnessed a man walking in traffic following a vehicle accident on Whitemud Drive and then trying to enter vehicles stopped as a result of that accident.
The information is being requested as part of an ASIRT investigation into an April 11 incident at Edmonton Police Service headquarters, during which 34 year old Jeffrey Tyler Oatway suffered a medical episode and was taken to hospital where he died on April 13.
