Alberta SouthWest wins three Awards of Excellence from Economic Developers Alberta

The Alberta SouthWest Regional Alliance captured three Awards of Excellence at the recent Economic Developers Alberta (EDA) annual awards banquet.

• Award of Excellence - Special Events, Programs or Campaigns (Large Community) - for its Regional Marketing Campaign
• Award of Excellence - Creative Innovations (Large Community) – for its Man on the Street interviews and video
• Award of Excellence - Social Media in a Marketing Campaign (Large Community) – for its use of social media strategies

Celebrating Alberta SouthWest’s three Awards of Excellence from Economic Developers Alberta are  Shawn Patience, AlbertaSW Chair & Mayor, Town of Fort Macleod; Bev Thornton, Executive Director, AlbertaSW Regional Economic Development Alliance, and Catherine Proulx Managing Director, Twist Marketing.

"I'm extremely proud of our organization's executive director, contract staff and members for the leadership role they played provincially and globally, in promoting the AlbertaSW region,” says  Shawn Patience, Chair, Alberta SouthWest Regional Alliance and the Mayor, Town of Fort Macleod. “I am equally pleased that EDA has acknowledged the outstanding efforts of AlbertaSW.  We hope to continue to be at the forefront of regional collaboration with several new and cutting edge initiatives already in the works.  Winning these Awards of Excellence demonstrates that we are indeed stronger when we work together."
